Urge Party Leaders to Tackle Illegal Air Pollution

Levels of air pollution in our cities continue to be unsafe. This is causing an unacceptable public health crisis. Air pollution is linked to cancers, heart attacks, strokes, delayed lung development in children and more recently, dementia in adults.

Together we can make air pollution a big issue for the Council elections in May. In London, Sadiq Khan won his Mayoral seat in part on the back of bold new plans to tackle pollution.

Please write to the party leaders of Scotland’s cities today. Ask them to make an election pledge to deal with air pollution by developing plans for a Low Emission Zone and investing in walking and cycling in their city.

You can write to party leaders of cities you live in, visit or just want to see an improvement from. Feel free to include any other clean air ideas that you would like to see Councils adopt.
